On The Move "Teamwork" Promotion
On The Move is a Chamber of Commerce fundraising program where members group up in teams to find in-kind trades for Chamber memberships. In exchange, there are prizes and weekly happy hours. It's all good fun, and has an aspect of friendly competition to it.
When we were asked to develop visuals for the 2008 campaign drive, I came up with the idea that a sports metaphor might work to tie in with the team competition aspect of the program. The problem is in the specifics: particapatory or spectator? team or individual? a particular sport or non-specific?
The solution was to focus one one area: the vintage felt pennant. This symbol inpired loyalty across all of the specific problems listed above. To design the product, we actually created a felt pennant with the pre-existing OTM logo included. We scanned the pennant and have included it on all of the 2008 campaign materials.
This particular postcard-sized handout was part of a team-recruitment effort.
